The training division of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is tasked with maintaining the training requirements for each division. 

The training division strives to keep the department abreast of the most up to date methods of police work and safety.

The training division also works with community groups to offer information and training in certain areas such as community watch programs, drug awareness, and overall crime awareness.
